Mission Camp Testimonies
Through worship, prayer, and the truth, the spirit touched my heart POWERFULLY and God poured out his love for me at Mission Camp. But his encounter did not stop there. God gave me his heart to weep for the people who do not know the Gospel. My mind about missions was completely changed. You learn that the reality of being a missionary and that God calls all of us to live a mission minded lifestyle.
Mission camp challenges people of all ages to respond to the call of the Great Commission that God has given all believers. It becomes a personal time when you get to understand what God’s plan for the nations are. It is a time of tears, renewal, and completely joy.

The Hillsong United song entitled “You’ll Come” epitomizes my experience at Mission Camp about a year ago in 2010. The chorus goes, “You’ll come, let your glory fall as you respond to us. Spirit rain, flood into our thirsty hearts again, You’ll come.” During my time at Mission Camp, God did just that. He came in shining glory and He filled our hearts with his Spirit. In addition to the anointed speakers who straight-up loved Jesus, the inspiring testimonies about Field Operation, and intense prayer times, God really showered his grace and mercy upon our ministry. His presence filled the room, and thusly, worship was much more than just singing songs and hearing sermons, but a deep connection with our Father in heaven. God revealed His heart to us and gave us a pair of His own eyes to see the brokenness in the nations beyond the United States, and challenged each and every one of us to love and intercede for those we did not even know. But because the Lord’s heart hurt for those that did not know Him, so did ours. Through Mission Camp, our connection with our Daddy formed because His presence was alive and wet all throughout the entire conference.
During Mission Camp, I believe we worshipped the Lord in spirit in truth. In John 4:23-24, Jesus says, “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” Come to worship our God in spirit and in truth as He looks upon us, smile radiant, and pleased to see that His children are ready to be filled with more of His love!

Mission Camp 2010 was powerful because the Holy Spirit convicted and ministered to people’s hearts- He showed us that Jesus is beautiful and worthy and poured out the Father’s heart to us. He showed us our brokenness but also showed us His heart that is burning with love for us. It is truly His kindness that brings us to repentance. It was truly amazing seeing His children encountering His heart, all across the room.
Through the speakers He shared with us how He has been longing for the nations from the beginning of history, for them to know Him. What astounds me every time is the reality that He wants us to be the ones who will carry His heart to those who desperately need to know how He is truly like.
Mission Camp will definitely be an invitation to something much deeper (and grander!). His invitation is to know and carry His very heart, everywhere we go.

I attended Mission Camp as a newborn believer not knowing what to expect. However, from the first night, when we were challenged to truly be IN love with God, I knew the following days would be like nothing I had ever experienced. The next few days, God’s love poured out upon me. During worship, I felt His arms around me, embracing me. I felt His pleasure at our gathering. Listening to each and every powerful message about God’s will for all the nations to hear the Gospel, I learned about His heart and desires to see His children return to Him. He gave me His eyes to see the beauty of His lost children, His ears to hear their desperate cry to know of His awesome grace and mercy, and His heart to feel His heartbrokenness for these people groups.
In those four days, miracles happened. Tears were shed, bonds were broken, commitments were made, brothers and sisters were born again. All so that we may see His desire because it isn’t about what His will is for our lives, but about His will only, so that our lives would become that. Mission Camp was a powerful, intimate experience that forever shaped my relationship with the Lord. It is an experience that every child of God should have.
