The Gift of Giving Never Ends

Written by media. Posted in General

Though Christmas has passed, the gift of giving never ends!  Do you want to bless a missionary this winter but don’t have enough to send a care package?  We’ve put together a list of ways for you to bless them without spending much!

  • Pray for them!  The best thing we can do for any missionary is to lift them up in prayer. Many of our own missionaries often say, “I can feel the prayers” when they’re going through warfare.
  • Email them!  It can get lonely living on the field. And although their primary strength comes from the Lord, the love and support that comes from friends and family back home have the power to lift them up in God’s perfect timing.
  • Create a video message for them!  Just as powerful as an email can be, imagine how happy they would be to see familiar faces!  Gather their friends and family and create a short video message!  Keep in mind their identity as a missionary and refrain from mentioning specific information about the country they’re serving.
  • Commit to being a monthly financial supporter!  Many of us spend x-amount of dollars a day on coffee, lunch and other miscellaneous items that add up.  But we want to encourage you to save those dollar bills [per month] and commit to donating to one of our many student missionaries!  If you’re a little iffy about committing because you don’t know who you’re going to be supporting, please know that you’d be sowing into the Kingdom of God through these missionaries, whether you know them personally or not.
  • Donate your frequent flier miles!  The number one financial burden for most missionaries are their travel expenses.  How blessed they would be to purchase a ticket to and from the states and/or nations with miles!  This would help them tremendously.
*Please remember to use discernment before sending an email or video message to the respective missionary in their respective country.  Security measures must be taken at all times.  If you don’t know what measure to take, please contact the mission organization they were sent through.

*If you want to support an InterCP missionary, please contact GlobalSVM@intercp.org for questions.
